Our Top 25 Game Reveals During Conference Season
So. Many. Reveals.

Conference season has delivered countless games announcements these last few weeks, here are a few of our highlights.
You've seen me discuss conference season recently, and for good reason. Between Six One Indie Showcase, Future Games Show, Thinky Direct, the Access-Ability Summer Showcase, Summer Game Fest, Xbox, Day of the Devs, State of Play, Wholesome Direct the Latin American Games Showcase, the Women-Led Games Showcase, IGN Live... we could go on, that's not even the full list.
Frankly, we can't imagine anyone most people keeping up with them all. As such, we've looked through all the various conferences and rounded up our favourite reveals so far. For reference, we're not including games that are already out, or we've already written up separately; Possessor(s), BALL x PIT, BAKUDO, Baby Steps, Instants, Formula Legends, 007: First Light, Downhill, Echoes of the End, and Relooted. That's so we can give more games a spotlight.
Honorable Mentions
We didn't want to simply keep expanding this list as that would become rather excessive, and there were plenty of interesting games we simply don't have the time to cover individually. So, there are a few additional titles we'd like to give a quick shoutout to that also caught our eye.
Please note that this list is alphabetical, not ranked. We're also not averse to naming AAA games here, but we often find ourselves more interested in the smaller and more experimental titles. With that said, here are our current highlights from this year's conference season.
At Fate's End
Arriving next year on most platforms, At Fate's End is the latest game from the Spiritfarer and 33 Immortals team. It's a side-scrolling action adventure game where you must face your estranged siblings across “intense, emotional duels.”
Beast of Reincarnation
Given the studio's best known for Pokémon, I don't think anyone expected Game Freak to show up during the Xbox Showcase. Beast of Reincarnation is an action RPG launching where you play as Emma, trying to survive across an "ever-changing world" with your canine companion. That's out next year on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC.
Big Walk
Big Walk is the next game from the Untitled Goose Game studio, House House. Out next year on Steam, this co-op walking game sees you getting lost with friends across this big world and solving challenges through teamwork and proximity chat. Needless to say, we're intrigued.
Big Hops
Appearing during multiple showcases following its recent Kickstarter launch, Big Hops is a 3D action-adventure platformer where you play as a young frog called Hop. After being kidnapped by a strange spirit, you must find your way back home.
Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots
On one hand, I'm torn. It still feels weird that we're getting a new entry that isn't being developed by Clap Hanz, but I'm happy to see the series back once more with Everybody's Golf Hot Shots. As someone who loved the 2017 PS4 game, I'm willing to give this a chance.
Fading Echo
Heading to most platforms but with no release date, Fading Echo by New Tales and Emeteria is an action-adventure where you play, who's out to discover her past.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles
Final Fantasy Tactics is an undisputed strategy RPG classic from 1997, and it's returning later this year for most platforms. The Ivalice Chronicles is an expanded remaster with an updated script, revised visuals, several quality-of-life updates, an easier difficulty option, the original game and more. That's out on September 30, 2025.
Hirogami
Arriving on September 3, Hirogami from Bandai Namco takes place across a mystical origami world. You play as Hiro, working to stop digital invaders as you solve puzzles, defeat enemies and save your home.
Hitman World of Assassination - James Bond Crossover
Hitman World of Assassination is no stranger to high-profile crossovers, so I'm very keen to see how it handles this one. In preparation for 007: First Light, the bald assassin's next target is Mads Mikkelsen's Le Chiffre from Casino Royale.
Keeper
Best known for its work on Psychonauts, Double Fine Productions' next game is Keeper, a third-person puzzle adventure told without words that sees you embark on a journey across an island in a long-lost sea. Promising a tale of "unlikely companionship, an odyssey of mystifying metamorphosis, and an unexpected journey," that's arriving on Xbox and PC later this year.
Lumines Arise
Created by Enhance Inc, Lumines Arise is a sequel to 2004's puzzle game with a similar approach to Tetris Effect: Connected. Featuring optional VR support on PS5 and Steam, this comes with over 30 stages where you rotate 2x2 blocks to align with each other, and it introduces new gameplay mechanics. Frankly, I cannot wait, and that's out this autumn.
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls
One of the more unexpected announcements from State of Play, Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a 4v4 fighting game developed by Arc System Works and published by Sony. That's out on PS5 and PC next year.
Mina the Hollower
We've been waiting for a long time to learn more about Yacht Club Games' next title following the Shovel Knight series. Mina the Hollower is a new action-adventure platformer out this Halloween, and the studio dropped a Steam demo.
Mixtape
The developers of The Artful Escape are back with a new narrative adventure, Mixtape. Following three friends heading out on one final adventure, this journey sees them explore the key moments that made them who they are. That's out later this year.
No Straight Roads 2
Five years after the original game launched, Metronomik confirmed its music-focused action-adventure No Straight Roads is getting a sequel. That's due out in 2026 on PC and consoles.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the first new mainline entry in Capcom's series for a long time, and we got a new look during Summer Game Fest. Coming to PC, Xbox and PS5, this dark fantasy action game sees us fighting underworld monstrosities in Edo-era Kyoto.
Planet of Lana II
A direct sequel to the 2023 hit, Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf follows what happens next after you saved this planet from robots. Seeking to uncover this world's past, this puzzle adventure is out next year on all major platforms.
Resident Evil Requiem
I'm still laughing at how Capcom punked us all 20 mins before Resident Evil Requiem was actually unveiled during Summer Game Fest, by saying we would have to wait the "blink of an eye" for further news. Launching on February 26, Resi's next mainline entry also has narrative ties to Resident Evil Outbreak. It's got my full attention.
Roman Sands RE:Build and Paratopic: Overdub
Yes, this is two separate games in one, but we've bundled them since Arbitrary Metric and Serenity Forge showed them together. Roman Sands RE:BUILD is a surreal investigation game about the service industry, while Paratopic: Overdub is both a remaster, remix, and sequel to the 2018 original game. Both titles are launching on September 12, 2025.
Scott Pilgrim EX
Tribute Games, the developer behind TMNT: Shredder's Revenge and Flinthook, is back with a new 2D brawler where you play as both Scott and Ramona. Scott Pilgrim EX finds the city overrun by three rival gangs, and with Scott's bandmates kidnapped by mysterious forces, it's up to us to save them. That's out next year.
Stranger Than Heaven
Formerly known as Project Century, Stranger Than Heaven is the latest game from the Like a Dragon/Yakuza team, Ryu Ga Gotaku Studio. Seemingly set across multiple time periods, not much else is known about this action game, but we're highly intrigued by its plans.
Sword of the Sea
Sword of the Sea is the latest game from the artist behind ABZÛ, The Pathless, and Journey. Described as an atmospheric surfing adventure with movement inspired by skateboarding and snowboarding, that's out on August 19 on PS5 and PC.
The House of Tesla
Following its work on the puzzle trilogy The House of Da Vinci, Blue Brain Games' next title is The House of Tesla. This time around, we're exploring a deserted facility full of machines left by Nikola Tesla as we uncover the mystery that left us here. That's out on PC this year.
The Bureau of Fantastical & Arcane Affairs
Another one for the currently Steam exclusive pile launching later this year, The Bureau of Fantastical & Arcane Affairs by Hip Flask Games is a comedic first-person narrative adventure. Playing as an inspector, our task is to fix these broken stories and then step directly into these adventures.
There Are No Ghosts at the Grand
Created by Friday Sundae, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand tasks you with restoring a crumbling English hotel in just 30 days, decorating by day while battling ghosts at night. That's coming to Xbox and PC.
