Rewinder: What We're Playing This Week (September 13, 2025)
Ohhhhh Banana

It's time for our latest edition of What We're Playing This Week.
Thanks to yesterday's Nintendo Direct presentation, we've covered more than we'd normally expect this week. Announcements for Super Mario Galaxy, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Hades 2, and plenty more kept me busy, and I still can't believe Nintendo has (sort of) brought back the Virtual Boy. Like, what???? Anyway.
Before I continue that tangent, here's what the team's been up to.

Dungeons of Eternity reached Steam recently after launching on Quest two years ago, and we are so back. This is still one of the best VR dungeon crawlers I've ever played, and the co-op is unbelievably satisfying. Outside of this, F1 25 has been back on my radar, and I'll likely be jumping into the DK Island + Emerald Rush DLC for Donkey Kong Bananza.

This week I've started Borderlands 4. Look, I'm an idiot, and these games just appeal to me. Taking the formula and plopping it into an open world is currently hitting just right, but who knows if I'll feel the same in however many hours it takes. I will say that the villain is immediately more threatening and interesting than 3 though, so that's good.

I am probably wandering the streets of Tokyo instead of playing anything right now.
