The Signal: Stranded On Sirenis Gets New Survival Adventure Demo Next Week
Steam Next Fest demo is out next week following recent playtesting.

After enjoying The Signal: Stranded On Sirenis at Gamescom, I plan on jumping back with next week's Steam Next Fest demo.
Developed by Goose Byte, The Signal: Stranded on Sirenis is a narrative-focused survival adventure where you navigate the unusual, sentient world of Sirenis as Jane, who's trying to find her missing brother. Mixing survival mechanics, exploration, and extraction gameplay, this follows a familiar trend of crafting tools, hunting down resources and uncovering the unsettling truth behind this planet. Creative Director Theodor Diea previously called this as a love letter to Subnautica, Half-Life, Portal, and BioShock.
I'm often worried when so many inspirations are listed out that a game's trying to ride on another team's coattails, though I'm encouraged by what I've already seen. My previous hands-on at Gamescom was rather enjoyable, and The Signal first came to my attention through following Flat2VR's announcement of a VR edition. While I only played for roughly 40 minutes in Germany, this upcoming demo promises “over 4 hours of gameplay” across different biomes.
Currently undergoing a Kickstarter campaign, The Signal: Stranded on Sirenis has so far reached CA$13,895 out of its CA$45,000 goal. As we warn with all crowdfunding campaigns, Kickstarter shouldn't be treated like a pre-order system, as there's no guarantee the project will launch. If it's successful in funding, a June 2027 release date is estimated for the full release.
The Signal: Stranded on Sirenis demo is out on October 13 on Steam.
