What Do You Mean There’s Another Slot Machine Roguelike Launching Soon

It's come to our attention that another slot machine roguelike game, Slots & Daggers, arrives on Steam next week.

Developed by Friedemann, likely best known for last year's SUMMERHOUSE, Slots & Daggers aims to deliver a thoroughly different experience. Described as a retro-fantasy crawler, each battle takes place through a slot machine, and you'll need to arm yourself heavily across this adventure. Every action from attacks, healing potions, and magic spells can only be carried out through this machine.

Slots & Daggers comes with ten different levels that feature different foes and bosses, requiring quick reflexes as you fight infamous foes. Gunslingers of the Red Desert, Knights of Kul, some guy named Ike, this promises a few. Success rewards you with modifiers like extra wheels, new weapons, and more.

It's hard not to immediately make the comparison with CloverPit, which was also published by Future Friends and, going by its sales and critical reception, seems to be a hit. While Slots & Daggers leans into more classic fantasy, Panik Arcade's recent title goes for horror as you pay off your debts through faux gambling while sitting in a rusty cell.

There's no release date just yet for Slots & Daggers, though it's “coming soon” to Steam with a PC demo out now.
