OPUS: Prism Peak Promises an Emotional Photo Adventure This Autumn
Fourth entry follows 2021's Echo of Starsong.

OPUS: Prism Peak aims to deliver an emotional, photography-driven adventure this autumn on Steam.
The fourth entry in the OPUS series by developer SIGONO, Prism Peak is a single-player adventure focused on 40-year-old Eugene, a divorced ex-photojournalist and cafe owner. As he returns to his hometown, a strange accident finds him transported into the Dusklands, a surreal world described as being of fading light, fragile beauty, and hidden sorrow.
Promising a journey of Eugene's grief as he learns to let go, he soon finds himself joined by a playful, mysterious girl that only retains a single memory: the need to return to a mountain in the Dusklands. Truths begin to emerge as this land crumbles, while Eugene finds himself guided by a series of mystical animals who each promise a reflection on a different emotion, memory, or lesson.
Personally, I'm both excited and hesitant to jump into OPUS: Prism Peak. Though I've not played the first two entries… well, if I'm being as honest as possible, 2021's Echo of Starsong left me emotionally wrecked after reaching the conclusion. It delivered a grounded, heartfelt story across a text-based, side-scrolling adventure that I still think about every so often, and it's a hard act to follow.
OPUS: Prism Peak arrives this autumn on Steam.
