Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon's original soundtrack is now available on streaming platforms.
Sixteen years after the action RPG launched on Nintendo Wii, Bandai Namco Entertainment confirmed the original soundtrack for Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon can now be streamed online. Available through YouTube, Apple Music and Spotify, that follows a similar soundtrack release for tri-Cresendo's 2007 RPG, Eternal Sonata.
Arguably one of the Wii's lesser known cult classics, Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon remains one of the most memorable games I experienced in that era. Playing as Seto, your goal is to make your way through the ruins of Tokyo in a post-apocalyptic world, fending off ghosts that come across your path, using the Wii Remote like a flashlight.
It's a wonderfully intriguing tale that I completed back at the time that held my attention throughout, and I wish would get a modern re-release. It's a powerfully emotional story about loneliness backed up with a stunning presentation and beautifully haunting exploration of this world. The game has remained exclusive to the Nintendo Wii, and I only hope more people can experience this tale one day.
