Co-Op Puzzler Escape Simulator 2 Arrives Soon on Steam
Update: Release date has been slightly pushed back.

Co-op puzzler Escape Simulator 2 launches soon on Steam, and you can try it now with the Steam demo.
We've known since last year that Escape Simulator 2 is on the way, and developer Pine Studio confirmed a release date for October 27 after a minor delay. Featuring co-op support for up to eight players, the upcoming sequel notably includes 12 new escape rooms to break out of, "enhanced physics" across each area and the brand new Room Editor 2.0, which promises an upgraded suite of creative tools.
While it initially appeared back in April, there's a free Steam demo that remains live on with both the tutorial and first part of Dracula's Castle. Though we've yet to go hands-on with this, the studio states this demo highlights the new direction being taken with the upcoming sequel that's more atmospheric and mysterious.
Personally, I had a great time with the original Escape Simulator and jumped into the Steam version last year after it introduced VR support. At the time, I considered it a great demonstration of how virtual reality can further enhance flatscreen games. We still don't have confirmation yet of Escape Simulator 2 supporting VR, but I'm hoping Pine Studio will introduce it at some stage.
Escape Simulator 2 reaches PC on October 27.
