BAKUDO Blends Dodgeball With Sci-Fi Boss Rush Action
If you can dodge a wrench...

More dodgeball games are always welcome, and BAKUDO mixes the sport with a sci-fi boss rush game.
Recently announced by publisher Shueisha Games, BAKUDO is described as having "high‑octane ball‑sports mechanics" with real-time combat. As a new academy recruit called Yuria, you're tasked with finding her missing father, making new friends and uncovering this academy's mysterious secrets. All of this takes place while fighting an elite group known as the Eight Stars.
BAKUDO's first trailer reminds me of a single-player focused Knockout City, mixed in with aspects of Furi and Kill la Kill's anime aesthetic for good measure. Developer Sayil Games states everything's centred around ball-throwing mechanics, each of these Eight Stars promises a unique combat style and success requires countering them at the right moment.
There's not much else to go on right now beyond the game supporting multiple languages, and a release date is unconfirmed. When it does launch, BAKUDO is coming to Steam.
