Tron: Catalyst Returns to the Grid Today

TRON: Catalyst returns to the grid once more with a new adventure, and it's out today on most platforms.

We recently named TRON: Catalyst as one of our favourite Steam Next Fest demos, and the full game has launched less than a day after Valve's event ended. Playing as a courier program called Exo, this brand-new story from Bithell Games takes us back to the Arq Grid to defeat Conn, a new malevolent program that's brought this world to the brink of collapse through glitches.

While its direct predecessor, Tron: Identity, took the visual novel approach, TRON: Catalyst is an isometric action adventure game set in the same location. Catalyst sees us using identity discs for both melee and ranged combat, fighting these enemy "Peacekeepers" on foot and while riding a light cycle. Collecting data shards lets us upgrade Exo with new abilities.

TRON: Catalyst is out now on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Switch. We'll aim to bring you our full impressions soon, and the Steam demo is still live.
